A First for Türkiye: A Genetic Miracle Through PGT for SMA
The Arslan family, who had lost five children to SMA (Spinal Muscular Atrophy), turned to Prof. Dr. Volkan Baltacı. Using PGT (Preimplantation Genetic Testing) — applied for the first time in Türkiye — healthy embryos were selected, and the family welcomed their sixth child, Elif. Elif is now 18 and preparing for her university entrance exams.
